PhoneWorld, through its partnership with GlobalPhone, offers innovative VOIP service drastically lowering the cost of international calls. You can call to any other phone in the world at unbelievable low rates.

Through our Softphone software, calls made to other Softphone users (computer to computer) are free! You may also call the worldwide public telephone network at low per minute rates. The Softphone works on any broadband connection using Microsoft Internet Explorer.

To start calling, you will need to register and purchase some calling time.

Hardware Requirements:
A variety of voice over IP (VOIP) devices are supported to meet every customer requirement. You may use any of the following:

• PC Headsets and USB Phones for your laptop computer for the traveler or casual callers (in conjunction with Softphone).
• IP Phonesets from Cisco, Polycom and other manufacturers for permanent 24 hour home or office use with high quality audio sound.
• Gateways from manufacturers such Cisco, Quintum and Sipura for home and office use, call shops, call centers, phone cards dealers and a variety of of other applications.

Using your account, you can review your balance and calling history, and buy more calling time on-line.

How to Use Softphone:

Using the phone-to-phone service involves 4 simple steps:

1. Register

You must register in order to gain access to our services. After registering, you will be able to purchase calling time, check your account balance, view your call history, and make long distance phone calls using your personal PIN number. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email from us containing your PIN number. Please, keep this email for further reference. In addition, all personal information you provide to is protected according to our privacy policy.

2. Purchase calling time

All payments are done via credit cards online. You can purchase additional calling time at any time.

3. Install your Softphone

• Enable the ACTIVE-X controls on your internet browser if necessary.
• Click on the SOFTPHONE to download it
• Enter your the PIN number (or Username and Password) you have received upon registration.
• The Softphone will take a minute to load the application and then will say “Registered and Ready to make a Call.”
• Plug in any USB phone or any Microphone/Speaker headset . Note: If the dialpad on your USB phone does not function use the Softphone dialer.

4. Place calls using your Softphone

• Dial your destination using the numeric keypad on your computer or by clicking on the keypad of the Softphone with your mouse. When you dial, make sure you click on the Softphone so your computer is focused on the Softphone application.
• To call the US/Canada and certain Caribbean countries, dial 1+ area code + number
• To make an international call, dial +country code + city code + number, e.g. 441xxxxxx to call the UK.
• To call another Softphone, call the Caller ID of the person you wish to dial. The Caller ID can be found by clicking on ID block in the top of the status window of the Softphone.

Place calls using the phone card option

• Within US dial the toll-free access number 1-877-246-4773.
• At the prompt, enter the PIN number you have received upon registration.
• After confirmation from the system operator, dial the number you wish to call followed by the (#) button.
• After you complete the call, you may dial the 'pound' button twice (##) to start a new call.

In order to buy calling time you will need to register first. After registering your will be assigned an account and a PIN number. The PIN number can be used to place long distance phone calls after you purchase calling time.

How It Works

When you access your account pages, you can view your call history, view and modify your profile and purchase additional calling time. For your convinience offers flexible mechanism for recharging your account any time you want with any amount you choose.

Here is how you buy calling time:

1. Login to your account. You must use a valid credit card or debit card (with Visa/Master card logo) in order to purchase calling time.
2. Click on the 'Purchase Calling Time' button.
3. Fill in the purchase form and click the 'Continue' button. accepts only credit and debit cards bearing the logo of MasterCard, VISA, Discover, and American Express.
4. A confirmation page will prompt you to review the information you have filled in the purchase form and if you approve that transaction click on the 'Place Order' button. This will initiate the actual placement of your purchase order. You will receive an email confirming the purchase.
